Today we celebrated Epiphany. As well as our crib looking beautiful with our three kings and our very handsome camel (Humphrey) added, we had a own three kings who came bearing gifts with the offertory procession. After the service we blessed the church door, praying for all who will come in and go out this year.
It has been said the Canon Michael looks more like a pirate than a wise man, but I can assure everyone that Michael is wise indeed – one of the wisest people I know. Also in the photo is Ryan who began his verger-training this morning, and Naimh who is a server and member of our Messy Sermon Group.
It was very homespun, and rather chaotic – but we always do our best with what we have, and try to make welcome all who come along – just as the three strangers were made welcome all those years ago.
