Good Friday began with children’s breakfast at the church hall. We then had craft activities and making decorations before finishing with a snack at midday.
Shortly afterwards there was the solemn Liturgy for Good Friday at church, which was stripped of all its ornament in recognition of the dark hours of Christ’s suffering. The service of reflection included singing Good Friday hymns, reading the Passion narrative and setting up the cross at the altar. Prayers were then said at the foot of the cross. After the service people left in silence.
