Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter at St Oswald’s

Good news!

St Oswald’s Church will be reopening on Palm Sunday for Holy Communion at 10 a.m. – but don’t forget to put your clocks forward the previous night or you may miss it! There will be palm crosses for everyone, and activity packs for children as we are not yet able to recommence our children’s activities.

During Holy Week there will be a short service (15 minutes) of Night Prayer from Monday to Saturday at 9 p.m. The readings and prayers we will follow the events of Holy Week. This is a really beautiful, quiet and peaceful service – please come along if you can.

Health and safety constraints mean we are not able to hold our usual Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services but there are services at the Cathedral which you might like to attend.

The Easter Sunday Eucharist will begin at 10. There will be activity packs for children and Easter Eggs for everyone!

All services will remain brief, as specified in the national guidelines. St Oswald’s Church  safety guidelines are here
