Today people gathered to remember and pray for Mackezie Moffat who died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday evening.
Church was open this afternoon for Mackenzie’s family and friends and teachers to light candles and write or draw messages of condolence. Around 200 people, adults and children, came along.
As you can see, a large number of candles were lit and prayers offered. Children drew pictures of their friend while adults wrote messages of condolence. Many simply sat in silence.
Some people were not able to attend today, so the church will be open on Thursday and Friday from 5 – 6 pm.
The Vicar asks that you continue to pray for Mackenzie’s family, his classmates, teachers and friends at this time of great sadness.
Makenzie we all miss you dearly and wish to see him once again…someday…somehow…
