Saturday work hour gets some more jobs done

Our second work-hour today had five people again. This time we moved tables, cleaned and had bit of a sort out… all therapeutic stuff!

In the garden it was warm and sunny… spring is not far away now and things are starting to stir. The bank of snowdrops and the crocuses and mini daffodils on the war memorial lawn all look lovely. There was good progress with weeding and cutting back branches and even a small tree. One of our aims is the cut back the perimeter shrubbery so that we can paint the railings later in the year.

Thanks everyone!

Work-hours are on the first Saturday of every month and the next one is Saturday, 1st April, 10 – 11 am.

If you can’t make Saturday mornings but would still like to help, I spend an hour every Saturday evening, normally between 6pm and 7pm, cleaning and setting up the church for the Sunday services. You are very welcome to join me and if you can, just mention it next time you see me.
