Congratulations to Carol Ratcliffe who has just been given an award for 50 year’s membership of the Institute of Biomedical Science. She was presented with a medal (no less!) at a special award ceremony in Liverpool. Carol worked for many years in forensic science.
Congratulations also to Sophie who has started ‘Big School’ at our church school. Here she is looking very smart and grown up in her brand new school uniform. Sophie is also a huge fan of our Messy Sermon Group – she loves making things and learning more about her faith.
And, finally, just occasionally we get children themselves asking to be baptised. Here is one such child – this is Isabella who will be baptised at St. Oswald’s on October 1st. She began this journey when she leaqrned about baptism at school. We rejoice with her and pray for her as she continues her Christian journey.
