We had a good journey back from London on Wednesday afternoon and evening, though it seemed so long! It’s so nice getting back home to the cool fresh air of Blackburn after all the heat and pollution of the city. As for the rain.. well at least it keeps the garden looking nice!
Over the last few days we have had a stream of occupational therapists, nurses, doctors and physios all attending to different aspects of Anne’s recovery. The NHS has been superb! Anne is getting along fine and seems to be ahead of the game in moving her leg and learning how to walk again. She is still on lots of painkillers and her leg is quite black and blue but this is normal and everyone says she is making good progress.
It’s still ‘early days’ and she has several weeks of rehab in front of her but ‘so far so good’.
