Our school’s Year 6 teacher came to our morning service last week to tell us about her forthcoming trip to Rwanda. She also brought her son, Lewis, who is going along with his mum – what an adventure! They’re both off on their adventure next Monday – and we wish them well and pray that they’ll had an amazing time!
Mrs Mensah’s Church (Union Road Community Church in Oswaldtwistle) supports an entire village in Rwanda, enabling children to have an education and helping families in other ways – one family was recently able to buy a goat which will provide them all with milk. ON the visit, Mrs Mensah will see the difference the sponsorship makes to the village: this will involve visiting a village which isn’t sponsored, as well as looking at the village her church sponsors.
Coincidentally, our certificates for sponsoring 3 toilets had just arrived, so it was definitely a morning to celebrate the difference we can make to the lives of people who have very little! Well done to our Messy Sermon Group for completing this challenge!
