Ella Townley, a former member of St. Oswald’s who moved away to be nearer to her family, has sent news of her new life in Cirencester. She has recently enjoyed an afternoon on her daughter’s boat with her grandsons and their friends. Ella has also found a new church at St John the Baptist church – www.cirenparish.co.uk – it’s a bit more high church than we are but Ella has found it a warm and welcoming place and the Vicar does a really good sermon. It’s a bit posher than St. Oswald’s too, I think!
Ella is also settling in well in her new flat and enjoys playing scrabble with other residents in the communal lounge. There’s an art class starting soon and she’s already involved in the in-house keep fit class – she always was a busy lady!
We still miss Ella and there are several holes left in our Rotas by her departure to her new home. We continue to wish her well and to hold her in our prayers.
