Crowds flocked to our Get Ready For Christmas Fayre this afternoon making it a real community event! There was lots to do with several tombolas, jewelery, craft and cake stalls, a magic advent calendar which gave out chocolates and sweets in abundance (Well done Brownies!), a lovely stall selling Christmas Stockings and Gingerbread Houses full of sweets and other treats, a Christmas Stall, and activities such as badge and cracker making. Our kitchen team ran a very busy cafe selling hot lunches and drinks.
The highlight of the afternoon was the Arrival of The Grinch and Cindy-Lou – children queued up to have their photos taken, although I found a few hiding at the back of the thinking The Incredible Hulk had arrived!
It was good to see familiar faces from holiday club and church working together to make a fantastic afternoon! Well done to our Events Committee and all who helped. As you will see from the photos, young and old alike mucked in to help.
We raised the excellent sum of £1035! Well done everyone!
