Our Messy Sermon Group (Trendy All Age Sunday School) has been raising funds to twin our three church toilets – the £180 raised will be used to build three new village loos in Africa. You can read more about it here: https://www.toilettwinning.org/
The idea arose from learning about ‘the water of life’ – Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well.
The group has worked hard baking cakes and harassing people for their spair change. Many people at St. Oswald’s have very little money – I was talking today to someone who has been living on a little over £100 per week which needs to pay for gas, electricity, water rates, council tax and tv license as well as food and clothing.
So a BIG THANKYOU to the generous fold of St. Oswald’s who have reached out to even poorer folk thousands of miles away!
