Andy Barnes of Stanhill Heritage Group kindly took me around the new Stanhill Heritage Trail. which was opened by the Mayor of Hyndburn in July. It was a practice run for our joint Heritage Open Days Guided Walk on 10th September. It’s a very enjoyable walk with a lot of history!

Coping Stones Stolen from Stanhill Memorial Garden
Stone thieves are active again in the area, having stolen around half of the copings at the memorial garden in two night time visits. This was despite the stones being screwed down.
