Getting Church ready for the return to Sunday worship

After careful preparation, St. Oswald’s Church is now ready for its first service tomorrow since the Covid-19 lock down. Following Government and Church of England guidelines, a few changes have been made such as marking out the chairs and providing hand sanitizer. There are also certain rules which everyone will have to follow!

After a frustrating week trying to get a rain-free evening, the  gardening group was able to mow the lawns and weed the flower beds of the churchyard just in time this afternoon. The roses are looking good as are the geraniums, but the planting around the War Memorial has died again. Hopefully, the August weather will allow some more sessions so we can bring things back to what they were before the lock down. If you like gardening and would like to help out at the churchyard, email David on drm@gn.apc.org – volunteers are always welcome!
