The work is finished and the Hall is looking fab! This morning Phil, Imi, Emma and Team 90 handed the hall back to us – this will make our service to the local community even better – somewhere smart and welcoming for children and adults alike. Each team member made a speech – a really scary thing to do – and they all did really well.
It was good to welcome guests – the Mayor of Blackburn Mr. Colin Rigby, the Bishop of Burnley the RIght Reverend Phlip North, guests from Blackburn Fire and Rescue, Crown Paints, Lancashire Police and many volunteers who had given their time and skills to help out.
As ever members of St. Oswald’s Church delivered the goods in terms of home made cakes and biscuits and lashings of tea!
A very big THANKYOU to everyone involved. Team 90 is amazing! Special thanks to Phil Carruthers who took the lead on this project and gave hours of his own time to ensure that everything would get finished.
