It’s been a busy week setting up for the weekend events. Tonight was the final lap.
There was a bit of fun in getting the Spinning Jenny down from Stanhill Methodist to St. Oswald’s in the pouring rain. The jenny had swollen so much in the damp weather that it had jammed. So its builder, David Disley, had to do a bit of emergency planing to get things working again!
Those setting up for the Sunday ‘Bring your Memories‘ event had their own technical challenge in getting a ‘heritage’ video recorder working!
But when all was sorted, there was still time for a nice chat to finish the evening. Except, not quite, just as we were locking up, in popped Cheryl and Ivan with the Guides and Brownies display!
